Saturday morning was sunny and nice. A few flyers were
in the air even before I was able to get to the field around 7:45AM. |
Max and his better half once again handled the
registration booth with professionalism and a smile.
|
Wally himself. The name sake of Wally's Squadron. Wally always has
something new and exciting to show the crowd. This year his aircraft was
equipped with an autopilot.
|
After 11 years of hard work and dedication, Buck has
decided to turn the demanding task of coordinating this event over to
Andy. Thank you Buck for all the great years and good luck Andy in your
new role as event coordinator.

Thanks
to our sponsors. Without these companies providing much need funds.
Wally's Squadron would not be able to put on an event of this
magnitude. |
We must
not forget to thank the three hobby shops who setup their canopies and
offer items which us locals only dream about.
|
Thanks to the generous donations provided to
Wally's Squadron
this year, Wally's was able to raffle off 2 complete remote control
aircraft. |
The Mountaineer Fun Flyers (USUA Club No. 161)
were able to fly in from Pence Springs their home base and join Wally's
Squadron for the fly in. Numerous people in the crowd were heard to
say how impressive those Ultralights are. Thanks guys for taking the
time to fly over and see us.

Team
Futaba
Now this team knows how to fly. Things were done with that aircraft
which should not be able to be done. This aircraft spent more time on
it's nose than in normal flight.
|
And now
for the good stuff.

The
Hangers
Almost
all flyers had trailers and canopies. I call this the hanger area.
Talk about some beautiful setups. Just look below and see what I am
talking about.
