For starters, Sunday was
not what you call the
perfect R/C event day.
In the morning the showers came and went. When the showers were gone
and the sun came out, the humidity was terrible. But we still flew as
much as possible. |
The Event
of the day "Splat Ball"
Buck put
his R/C bird on the line. Numerous people took shots at this bird, but
it still continued to fly. Only a very few were lucky enough even to
hit this slow moving target.

Look. A few hits

There was
some flying
|
And a few crashes
|
The
Flightline was pretty busy for a bad weather day
|
A few
birds stayed in the hanger
|
Tear down came quick after the rains. Numerous volunteers joined in
to break down the canopies, Remove the fencing, and overall police the
area. |
Then came
the storm. Late Sunday evening as we were getting ready to depart a
nasty storm blew in. We had the opportunity to get a few digital
images just before it got real nasty. To my understanding a couple of
these images even made the local news cast Monday evening.
